HEROES stands for Helping Everyone Receive Ongoing Efficacious Support. Heroes, Inc. is a non-profit corporation and shall operate exclusively for education and charitable purposes for families affected by the Autism Spectrum Disorder.
HEROES had their first walk on October 5th, 2014, that started out at my school, Mater Lakes Academy High School (17300 NW 87th Ave, Hialeah, FL 33015) and ended at the PSN Town Center (17680 NW 78th Ave. Miami, FL 33015). At the end of the mile walk, there were food trucks, a car show and different activities and performances for the crowd to enjoy.
Then, on December 19, 2014, Heroes donated to the Angels Reach Foundation, to help the Ulloa Family to pay for, Adrian Ulloa, which is their son’s tuition for the next six months. The reaction to Gail Ulloa was just beyond amazing. If you would like to check out the video, it is on the Heroes Miami, Inc.’s Official Face book Page.
HEROES has had many fundraisers with companies including, Pollo Tropical, Cricket, Menchies, Mater Lakes Academy and has helped out other clubs in school to excel in community service work.
The next event was on Sunday, October 25, 2015 and started at Mater Lakes Academy and ended at the PSN Town Center. There was a walk, food trucks, rides and performances from different studios and schools. There was a raffle for a plasma TV Screen and HEROES T-shirts sold.
HEROES has been put on hold for a while but for now there will be ongoing projects in the Gainesville Community.
